COVID GUIDELINES

The health and safety of our volunteers and staff are of utmost concern for us at Habitat Anderson. Before you volunteer with Habitat Anderson we ask that you read the below statements carefully.

We strongly encourage you to consider whether you should volunteer or not if you live with or are frequent contact with people in the high-risk categories for Covid-19.

Please stay home and do not volunteer if you:

  • Experienced symptoms that could be related to Covid-19 in the last 14 days

  • Been around anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 14 days

Before, during, and after volunteering

We ask that you practice the following universal infection control precautions:

  • Clean and wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds

  • Avoid physical contact with others and maintain social distance of 6 feet

  • Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol

Health Safety Questions:

  • Are you currently sick or feeling unwell?

  • Are you currently part of the any of the high-risk categories for Covid-19? (over 65, have underlying health conditions)

  • Have you or anyone in your household traveled domestically or internationally in the last three weeks?

  • Have you or anyone in your household been in close contact with anyone who is confirmed to have Covid-19?

If you answer yes to any of these questions it is recommended that you do not volunteer at this time.

In addition, habitat has implemented the following measures to help keep you healthy on the construction site:

  • Providing a hand washing station and hand sanitizer where you can wash and sanitize your hands, before, during and after volunteering

  • Disinfecting the portable toilet at the worksite daily

  • Disinfecting all tools and equipment each day

  • Maintaining 6 feet of distance as much as possible

  • Wearing of masks when in proximity of others

  • Screening all staff (and volunteer supervisors) for health concerns prior to every volunteer day

Thank you for your continued support!
